Candle care and safety
Lit candles should never be left unattended.
Place candles on a heat-resistant surface, out of the reach of animals and children.
The candle tin will become hot during use and should not be touched or moved until the wax has hardened and the tin has fully cooled.
On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the tin before blowing out the candle. This will ensure the wax melts evenly during subsequent burns.
Each candle is unique and may burn differently, particularly as the natural wooden wicks vary in thickness and grain.
It may take more than one attempt when lighting for the first time (we recommend tilting the candle at a slight angle when lighting or relighting, so the flame spreads across the wick). It is also important to trim the wick after each burn.
