Burner safety
Lit burners should never be left unattended.
Place burners on a heat-resistant surface, out of the reach of animals and children.
The burner will become hot during use and should not be touched or moved until the wax has hardened and the burner has fully cooled.
We recommend using standard, unscented tea lights (with a maximum burning time of 4 hours). Larger and scented tealights are unsafe; they can cause overheating, which may crack the burner.
Always ensure that the burner bowl is not overfilled. Please note that the skulls are mini burners; as the bowl is small / shallow, you only need a small amount of wax (or oil).
Unlike a candle, wax melts do not burn away. When the wax melt no longer smells as strong as you would like, typically after using two tealights (8 hours' burning time in total), it will need to be replaced.
To replace the wax melt, light and place a tealight in the burner and allow the wax to soften for a few seconds. If you then gently use a tissue to push the wax, it should pop right out as a block.
